The story of this establishment starts with the founding of Popular Medical Clinic by Doctor Gaston Cilliani. For over four decades, both the Santa Ana and Costa Mesa Popular locations have provided affordable, professional, and bi-lingual medical treatment to Orange County residents. Dr. Gaston’s son, Jose Cilliani, D.O., followed in his father’s footsteps and completed medical school. Additionally, Dr. Jose served across America in the United States Army Corps, achieving the rank of Major and attaining the Army’s Surgeon General’s Physician Recognition Award. Upon his Army retirement in 2007, Jose and his family moved back to California so that he could start working alongside his father at the Popular clinics. Upon Dr. Gaston’s 2018 retirement, Dr. Jose became Owner and Primary Physician of both Popular clinics and is working hard to improve upon the foundation laid by his father’s years of dedication. The family tradition of providing Orange County with superior medical care at an affordable price will continue to be the priority of Popular Medical Clinic.
